Should kids be able to safely ride their bikes to school? Are streets and cities for cars or humans? Is cycling as a lifestyle and identity at odds with cycling for transport?
Based in Coventry in the United Kingdom, Adam Tranter is the West Midlands' first Cycling & Walking Commissioner. Appointed by the Mayor of the West Midlands, Adam works with policymakers and the government to steer the region’s cycling and walking policies and plans.
Adam is a former national-level elite cyclist and grew up training and racing with riders who have competed in and won the Tour de France. He’s also founder of the UK communications agency Fusion Media and co-host of the Streets Ahead podcast on active travel.
The best place to find Adam is @adamtranter on Twitter.
